The change of season is often a golden opportunity to sort out our household items. And the timing is perfect, as Entraide diabétique du Québec is opening its new location in Mirabel so that you can drop off your clothes and small household items in good condition!

To better serve you, we are now located at 18185 rue J.-A.-Bombardier, ready to collect your donations. We are very pleased with this convenient location, easily accessible from Autoroute 15. As they are located near the Premium Outlets and the Smart Centre, where Walmart, RONA and many other stores are situated, you can take advantage of your next shopping trip to drop off your donations to Entraide diabétique du Québec. It’s a great way to make room for the new items you will be buying!

    Why donate?
The mission of Entraide diabétique du Québec is to raise funds to support the activities of Diabetes Québec, a non-profit organization that provides services to people with diabetes and their loved ones, in addition to raising public awareness about diabetes and funding research to treat and eventually cure the disease through better prevention and new discoveries.

The items we collect are then sold by third-party companies, including the Village des Valeurs. The money raised from the sale of the items is used to support our mission. We therefore constantly need your donations to continue to improve the well-being of people with diabetes. In Quebec, approximately 1,200,000 people are affected by diabetes, so our actions help many people!

    What items are accepted?
Basically, we accept all clothing and small items in good condition that can be found in a home. We don’t accept appliances, furniture, defective electronic devices, hazardous items and construction debris (contact your local ecocentre to dispose of these items).

Here is an overview of the items we collect (make sure they are in good enough condition to be resold):

    • Clothing and accessories you no longer wear (clothing, shoes and boots, jewelry, purses, hats, caps, scarves, coats, gloves, etc.)
    • Baby items (feeding bottles, clothes, toys)
    • Small items for the home (vacuum cleaners, knick-knacks, silverware, handicrafts, office items, bathroom items, luggage, picture frames and decorative items, pots and pans, candlesticks, bedding and comforters, curling irons, hair dryers, irons, clocks or alarm clocks, lamps, mirrors, radios, curtains, beach towels, small and medium-sized decorative rugs, curtain rods, utensils, vases, dishes)
    • Other equipment (cameras and small functional electronic equipment, board games, sports equipment, trophies, suitcases)

    Our new offices are located at 18185 rue J.-A.-Bombardier in Mirabel. We are open Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
