In addition to these collections, the organization retrieves\u2014thanks to its approximately 250 donation bins\u2014all pre-owned items dropped off there and that another person can use. The items collected are then sold to second-hand stores and thrift shops, in an effort to raise donations that are passed on to Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec. These donations enable the organization to defend the rights of people with diabetes, promote research, train qualified personnel and provide services to people with diabetes and their families.<\/p>\n<p>At Entraide diab\u00e9tique du Qu\u00e9bec, our employees are dedicated people who put heart and soul into achieving our objectives. All our employees undergo training before taking up their positions, thereby giving them autonomy and a better knowledge of their work. They truly know how to shine with their competence and motivation\u2014a great source of pride for our organization. Our mission: to create jobs, preserve the environment through the circular economy and raise funds for Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec. It is thanks to all our employees and donors that Entraide diab\u00e9tique du Qu\u00e9bec has been so successful for the last 25 years.<\/p>\n<p>Entraide diab\u00e9tique du Qu\u00e9bec in facts and figures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>250 donation bins, spread out all over Quebec<\/li>\n<li>14 trucks traveling the roads of Quebec to collect donations of clothing and other items from some 600 homes a day<\/li>\n<li>7,000 tons of second-hand clothing collected annually<\/li>\n<li>3,000 tons of second-hand items collected annually<\/li>\n<li>a workforce composed 33% of people age 60 and over<\/li>\n<li>millions of dollars donated to Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec since our organization was created<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are your wardrobes and closets overflowing with unused items?
