EDQ’S ENVIRONMENTAL MISSION
The origins of the organization
Entraide diabétique du Québec (EDQ) was founded in 1994. Initially, the nonprofit organization’s primary activity was collecting textiles and small used items and reselling them to support the mission of another nonprofit: Diabetes Quebec.
Over the years, EDQ has established itself as a key player in the second-hand goods recovery and upcycling sector, with approximately 200 collection bins spread across the province of Quebec.
Today, we can no longer deny the negative environmental impact of landfill waste. That’s why EDQ is proud to participate in a recovery and reuse cycle that benefits both the environment and the municipalities of Quebec.
