    EDQ AND VALUE VILLAGE

    working together since 1994
    image

Value Village is a long-standing partner of EDQ. Since it was founded in 1994, our non-profit organization (NPO) has enjoyed a valuable collaboration with the company.

Value Village accepts your donations on our behalf at 11 of its Community Donation Centre™, and then pays EDQ for all items dropped off at the store.

This strong partnership enables our organization to promote research and raise awareness of diabetes, as well as helping to build a greener future through the repurposing and recycling of second-hand items.

    ABOUT ENTRAIDE
    DIABÉTIQUE DU QUÉBEC

Founded in 1994, Entraide diabétique du Québec (EDQ) is a non-profit organization that, in its early days, focused on collecting second-hand clothing and small items to support the activities of another NPO: Diabète Québec. Over the years, EDQ has established itself as a major player in the field of second-hand recycling.

In addition to having nearly 200 donation boxes across Quebec and offering home pickup, the organization has developed a lasting alliance with another major player in the world of recovery to finance its mission: Value Village. EDQ is proud to offer a solution for reclaiming used goods and to maintain this solid partnership, helping to build a greener future.

    ABOUT VALUE VILLAGE

Since opening its very first store in San Francisco in 1954, Value Village’s mission has been to promote reuse. Since then, all Value Village stores that have opened across the U.S. and Canada have partnered with local NPOs to help fund their programs and contribute to their communities.

A fundamental principle of Value Village is to support local communities. For example, the company pays Entraide diabétique du Québec even if the items are not selected for the sales floor. The company has also set up its own recycling and reuse program to divert tons of reusable items from landfill every year.

Note: Shopping at Village des Valeurs stores does not support any non-profit organization.
